Duties & Responsibilities

Summary/objective

The UX/UI Designer reports to the VP Product Engineering.  As the UX/UI Designer, you are comfortable leading the user experience and interface design of existing and new applications. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable managing timelines, planning the UX/UI process from start to finish and determining the best design methods for each project. You will work alongside the Product Team to understand customer pains/gains and document needs during the research phase and be responsible for the design and delivery of simple and delightful customer interfaces.  You will own design delivery from proof of concepts, rapid prototypes to end state finalized designs. You will provide key insights to help with the product roadmap and be responsible for communicating findings and recommendations to key stakeholders. Your work should be informed by users, partners, research, metrics, and pragmatic judgement.  The UX/UI Designer will be involved in building new product offerings from the ground up in addition to contributing to Repairify’s existing global portfolio.

  • Design and iterate on user interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze user behavior to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts and interactions.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate user requirements and business goals into actionable design solutions.
  • Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure consistency across products.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of UX design experience.
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field.
  • Experience building design systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.

Supervisory responsibilities

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

 

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

 

Travel required

This position may require occassional travel to meet with customers.
